Top tier art style, but unfortunately the gameplay does not live up to it. Everything is just a bit slow and kind of repetitive in my opinion. Though I can definitely see this clicking with others way more than it did with me.3 found this helpful
Great game! I had a lot of fun
Beautiful, gret music and sound and fun to play. The level of craftsmanship is amazing. Finally Hauntii is a emotional ride that I will remmember.
Beautiful game I love the little music that plays when you get stars
It's wild to me that I don't see this game being talked about more in indie circles. While it's not a top tier contender for an all time must play indie game, it definitely has the makings of an indie darling. The gameplay loop reminded me a lot of Super Mario Odyssey, where it's mostly just about navigating around the world and trying out different things. Eventually you begin to feel a kind of rhythm and feel out how objectives are going to play in different areas. The difficulty slope is very natural as well, with most areas not overloading you with large mechanical differences. The visuals are easily the best point of the game, it's stunning to look at. Everything feels meticulously handcrafted and there's a lot of love poured into the world. The music is mostly spot on as well, with my main complaint being that the loops being a bit too short for some areas. This would sometimes lead to short, grating chords being played over and over while trying to get down the timing of a puzzle or action. But that's a fairly mild issue as most of the time it's perfectly ambient, and still has that last great vocal track we're seeing from a lot of indie games these days. There's not much …
