✦ AI summary
Players praise the creative level design, satisfying movement mechanics, and versatile yarn-based puzzle-solving that rewards experimentation, though many note the game is genuinely punishing with difficulty spikes that can be frustrating. Common complaints include hand fatigue from holding buttons for extended periods, missing quality-of-life features like fast restart and camera controls, and occasional unclear mechanics or interactions that leave players confused about how to progress.
Very fun precision platformer that pushes coyote time to its limits. Movement feels great, though it will sometimes look like you lose control. Figuring out interactions and small movement tech is also quite fun. I would love to see some QoL updates and fixes (fast restart, looking up/down, etc.). Holding down a button to grab yarn for like 80% of a level does make your hands hurt at most points. Auto run (in options) is very useful and should probably be on by default. As far as the level design goes, it is really good and REALLY EVIL. Some levels in regular difficulty broke me. (Looking at you, Level 29) I'd say the levels are well-designed, and every one has something unique or different about them. They're very creative! I don't like having to backtrack multiple times or having to redo a section, so maybe checkpoints could be moved around or have some more added. Definitely a me thing, though! The story is simple and great. Lovely! I have not managed to finish the extra ending, but might do so at a later time. Very silly game, you can see the passion and creativity flow through it. Definitely pick this up if you like what you see! :33 found this helpful

Don't let the adorably simple visuals fool you – :3 packs a serious punch in the difficulty department. It's a game that feels lovingly crafted, but demands precision and patience. The core loop revolves around navigating 30 levels filled with traps and puzzles. Death is frequent, sending you back to the start of the section, which can lead to moments of genuine frustration. While many puzzles feel logically sound, executing your plan perfectly is key. The standout mechanic is your yarn: it's not just a cute accessory. You use it both as a weapon and to interact with switches, adding a satisfying layer to the platforming. Level design offers nice variety within its core concept. The real longevity comes from the choice: do you just aim for the basic goal, or hunt for all the gems and alternative endings? The 8-bit soundtrack complements the experience well, though the overall atmosphere leans more towards a light melancholy than the absurd humor suggested by the store page. Angy Mode felt like a simple slow-motion toggle rather than a major game-changer. Verdict: Recommended, but know what you're getting into. If you thrive on …1 found this helpful
Precision Platformer with reasonably polished movement and a rather personal story. It's ~adjacent to SMW with similar run and jump mechanics, but fewer enemy interactions and instead a focus on yarn. The yarn mechanics are the unique part of the game and turn out pretty versatile - you're left to find your own solutions with many obstacles being open-ended. It's on the difficult side, but you can make it easier by finding creative solutions. There's also an optional slow motion mechanic and an easier difficulty called "Decaffeinated". The world becoming more colorful and vibrant throughout the journey is a nice touch tying the visuals to the story, although it does mean the game is visually very bland at the start.1 found this helpful
