Chop is dish

Platformer is one of the my favourite genre and I have enjoyed this game. The story of game is stupid enough and game is pure try of copying mario but not bad to play. Controls are fast and jump is high but manageable. There is not resolution options and also window mode is not stretchable so very small window mode that is not playable. The game is looks like made with GameMaker studio but if it is made with unity then some of the problem easily get solved.

Not a bad little action platformer for sure and a fairly fun time to spend 30 min to an hour. Achievements are fine too. The speed of falling from a jump is a touch too high but I got used to it. Theres three worlds around 15-18 levels so it doesnt take too long to finish. The translation is bad but amusing but you play this game for the platforming anyway so its not a big deal. Not being able to continue shouldnt really matter for this game...its short enough that you shouldnt really need continues, and if youre decent at platforming games you should be fine.

"Chop is dish" is a 2D retro pixel platformer that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames. It's a very basic 2D retro pixel Super Mario Bros ripoff. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. Using a video game construction kit requires little to no talent or skill as a game developer. Very often, GameMaker Studio is used to make shovelware and lazy cash grabs. Like most GameMaker Studio construction kit "games", this features lazy 2D retro pixel "art", instead of professionally done, contemporary PC graphics. Controls and resolution are locked, which pushes this below acceptable standards for PC.

This is like Mario but in bad. The character feels very loose and everything is unrefined. It's not a total mess, though. I like the environment and how it telegraphs dangers. The chip tunes are okay. The one joke it has going for it (besides the terrible English) is that the protagonist is an actual butcher (or chef) who collects meats instead of coins. After all, Chop is dish brings nothing to the table that wasn't done better elsewhere and I cannot recommend it at all (not even on sale - unless you are an achievement hunter or get it in a cheap bundle). 3/10

Good old school platform, medium difficulty. You can complete it in a few hours

How The Developer fit this hugely fun retro platformer in under 10MB is Beyond me .. WOW This is fun!
