About THE UNCLEARNESS
In 2080, the mankind faced the inevitability of land flooding as a result of the global warming. But even then nobody could expect that it would happen so fast.
By the Christmas of 2097, the area of land had reduced ten times. By then the Governments completely lost the opportunity to control people with liberal methods, as a consequence, military dictatorship was introduced to oppose crime syndicates.
Those who survived got used to dividing the land into zones according to the quality of life.
The Green Zone is in the center on a hill. The place of rich people and government. An island of old life built on the bones.
The Blue Zone is steel reservations with hundreds of storeys under the Green Zone. The people who live in this Zone have to work hard to survive, but who can call it life?
The Grey Zone is an old city. It was a miracle that it was not flooded, but the miracle had an effect only on buildings and roads while the democratic foundations sank in the ocean together with the rule of law.
The Red Zone is a slum area that is behind the old city. It is inhabited with those who cannot afford living even in the old city.
The Black Zone is parts of land unsuitable for living of people.

You are going to try your luck in the role of a private detective Stan Ingram and try to solve a tricky case of suicide.
There are several main locations in the game, that become available after completing the second mission. They are City, Industrial Area, Port, Prison, Slaughterhouse, Bar, Strip club, Hotel, Furniture store, Stan's apartment, Michel's apartment, Psychiatric hospital, Morgue.
The player takes control of Stan, the protagonist of the game. He will also interact with the following main characters: Jessica, Sanmdi, Scorpio, Dr. Kriss, Michelle, Bartender, Psycho. The plot is linear, the player cannot change the flow of the story. The interface is implemented so that in the lower right corner one can see how many bullets there are in the selected weapon, the screen will become red depending on the damage received by the hero. If the player controls a car, its speed will be indicated at the bottom of the screen.
The main mechanics of the gameplay are shooting, stealth, car control and slowing down time. There is also an additional mechanics of locks breaking. In the game you can stumble upon notes that reveal the details of the lore of the game and the card key that opens closed doors.

This was such a disappointment. There was a lack of direction, enemies only responded to what was in their line of sight, so shooting an enemy on the other side of the truck didn't bring them running, so you could have assumed the coast was clear until you start to move off and get shot from behind. There is no cohesion to the gameplay, in the first "mission" you get to a checkpoint in the middle of a cross roads and all of a sudden loading screen and you're in a room somewhere. Where? We don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ know, we're there just to hear a news report on the suicide and then we're off back out to see a doctor. Why? Cause the game said so and explains it on the way. We also get a voice over explaining how close we are to the doctor but doesn't explain why, no story only told how we're supposed to feel about him. The writing is terrible. Legitimately awful, dialogue is cheesy and contradictory in many places and the game is filled with so many cliche's it doesn't know what to do with them all so pretty much wraps them up within a line or two of each other. To start the world feels empty as there are so many pristine and well kept buildings but no-one around, as the game progresses we s…6 found this helpful
I'm going to recommend this. And considering the state of it, that needs to be explained. The Unclearness is clunky, and generally a very bad game that should still be in early access. It can best be compared with the movie The Room. Which is also a very very bad movie. Hilariously so. The fun in unclearness comes from playing with an audience, or watching someone else play, sitting there laughing at it. Play it alone and you’ll probably just feel insane. But for the current asking price of 7 euros, it’s not bad for a laugh. That having been said the combat is tedious and annoying, and there are a few sections of it that just drag on. Which gets in the way, again imagine The Room, you’re laughing your head off but every 40 minutes you’re asked to step outside and juggle for 30 minutes straight and if you drop a ball you have to start over. And then you’re allowed to go back in and laugh at the rest of the plot. Most of the comedy comes from the hilarious English translation. I’m making the assumption that the original Russian may make a bit more sense or at least not sound as completely insane. But being unable to speak Russian I can’t say for sure. The voice acting ranges …5 found this helpful
To put it simply, I'd describe The Unclearness as a narrative-driven adventure game that seems to contain bits and pieces of two other discernible genres, namely walking sim and third-person shooter. Personally, the game seems to have a bit of a Max Payne vibe (specifically Max Payne 1 and 2). In this game, you play as a private detective called Sten (this is not a typo - his name is spelled this way in the game), and he's investigating a series of apparent-suicides around his city that's set in a cyberpunk-like world; suicides committed by people who obviously don't have a reason to want to die at all. In fact,
one of the victims was a police lieutenant who very frankly cried out "I don't want to die" right before hurling himself off the top of a very tall building.
This, in of its own, presents a very interesting storyline that I would love to be able to pursue further.
Watch me play!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vog8LLfGpYo Unfortunately, before you can get to that more intriguing part, you'll have to slog through the beginning. The game starts off with a monologue that doesn't really makes much sense - and frankly speaking, I kinda lost interes…5 found this helpful
Interesting science-fiction story but a bit rough around the edges. If you like cyberpunk and simple police investigation game, consider purchasing this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9GgFnU3TE8&t=189s2 found this helpful
THE UNCLEARNESS
Discovered this "gem" accidentaly - bought on a whim ( 6,65€ ) , it reminded me of The Slater ( same derivative bottom of the barrel B trash full of charm ) - so its clunky/unpolished , poor optimisation&AI, bugs , clipping , grammatical errors in writen text ( the audio-dialog its OK tho ) - convoluted plot hard to follow , assets that feels like belonging in another game , too many loading screens and so on ! enjoyed greatly the music that blends very well with the dark atmosphere-the setting/city (+ added magazines that reveal the history of the world ) , the main character/voice , liked the 2 guns design , the video scales automatically to your native resolution ( ultra widescreen in my case ) ! like you see for me the pros outweight the cons ;-D - so i recommend this title ( commendable effort for a first product ) !1 found this helpful
I expected to hate this game after watching the trailers and seeing the reviews - however I didn't. Its not that it was mind blowingly amazing, it was just decent. The controls were better than I had thought they would be - minus camera angle issues on stairs. Voice acting was actually decent for the situation. Found myself intrigued - and ultimately isn't that the goal with games like this? Would have liked to see a but more in the city as far as detail/decor. "Good voice acting, good music, clunky transitions" PAA Community Member "I feel like over all its not a bad game. The concept is good and it seems fun but it needs some detail work and tracking work but its a simple fun game. I feel like the trailer killed it a little" PAA Community Member
