[h3]The Blame is a deduction game with 5 (+1 tutorial) cases. Each is presented by means of a summary, a series of clues, and a selection of culprits to choose from. The game is only available in Russian, limiting the audience that will be able to enjoy it. Since steam forces a rating, choosing recommended, though this review is only intended to be informational.[/h3] There's been a murder, and detective Arthur (you) are on the case. By unraveling a series of related investigations, the game comes to a climax as you try to uncover the culprit behind your wife's murder. The value of the game is primarily in its writing, looking for the pertinent pieces of evidence that narrow down the suspects and identify the real person to blame. You'll highlight the specific details on each photo, dust for prints, and even place some phone calls to eyewitnesses. The graphics aren't impressive, but the presentation is neat and clean, with relaxing music and unobtrusive sound effects. The Blame is a Unity based Russian 2D point and click deductive adventure game where you must solve a mystery by clicking on various hotspots when presented with childish MS-Paint/pixel imagery. There's no English translation for the game, but that's ok. It turns out, the language of bad games is universal. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The artwork here is terrible, it's a blend of old retro pixel "art" used as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics, and some of the most amateurish MS-Paint style drawings (I won't deign to call these "illustrations"). It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can do graphics properly, or lack of talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result of these decisions. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic low quality art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality.
