Soba's Gunpaw

Not having the ability to reset one node is a HUGE grievance. I do not want to reset the ENTIRE tech tree every time I want to experiment with something. It's literally ruining the gameplay for me. SUCH A HUGE OVERSIGHT. Update: Beat the main story and dealt with the tech tree issue. Most of what I picked was trash. The game is broken once you get the bomb and keg combo. The maxed out bomb with the keg upgrading the bomb basically trivializes the game. Then the mouse pointer is basically handling the rest of the work. Everything else you get should be focused on build the power of those two weapons. The gameplay loop feels *just* good enough to make you want to progress, even though the majority feels frustratingly repetitive and power either feels extremely weak or way too overpowered. I either instantly die from enemies or barely have to pay attention outside of boss damage. It's $3, so it's also like whatever, but I've played some really, really well polished incrementals for $3. This is very average and skirting below average.

Took me 2 sessions to get into it but once it got going I enjoyed it. Simple but fun progression and the price is right. Good stuff. 4 out of 5.

Probably Evrac's worst game. The catfood mechanic that limits your movements each run, then rewards you for not moving later on, is extremely unintuitave and doesn't really make sense. Most mobs spawn on a direct trajectory towards you, which means you just need to search for as much armor/health as you can possibly find on the upgrade tree. That is, until you find an OP weapon, then just dump all your resources into that. Upgrade tree is way too expensive, there were some beginning perks that I didn't end up maxing until I was basically done the game. Just poor balancing and gameplay loop. Try Master Healer Kale from the same Dev, that one is fun.

Unlocked all achievements. Simple but solid game.
