City of Sin - The Nocturne Files

Visually, this was stunning. Narratively, it was a mess. I couldn't make any sense out of the story. The game lingered on the MC getting up in the morning, getting undressed, going to the bathroom, getting a shower, getting dressed... which is all fine and somewhat pretty, but it did it multiple times, taking up a lot of needless time with pointlessly. That would just be mildly annoying if the game hadn't then appeared to quickly skip entire scenes of dialogue that might have something to do with the actual plot. There is long descriptive narrative, entirely unneeded in a visual story and poorly formatted and confusing dialogue. Finally, in a huge personal pet peeve, later scenes refer to events from choices I did not make rather than from the choices I did. In the end, I had to abandon this game. Cannot recommend.

I can see why this game garners a "mixed" review. One thing I have learned about the developer, DoAdventures, is that they creates games that require multiple playthroughs to see all of the possibilities. If you only choose one path and one playthrough, you miss a good deal of content. The visuals are good, the animations are limited but, good when present. My one complaint is that is leads up to the masquerade party and then suddenly stopped. Please release more content because I am ready for the party.

A very entertaining story with loads of erotic content. The narrative and dialogues are witty and credible. It's a low cost game worth checking out.

There is not that much good in this VN - The character quality is bad. They have really cartoonish style and there is no detail on the skin and all females look like barbies. - Protagonist looks good in the AI video clips as the AI adds detail which isnt found in the rest of the visual novel - VN are about the story and it feels like this visual novel is only about sex or "sin". It had been way more interesting if the VN started with prologue that let say the protagonist had a friend who somehow managed to bring the protagonist to such club. Lets say she was helping male friend who needed female attachment for deal or something and the protagonist then were introduced to temptations. - I understand that its VN about sin but the hooks in female bartender character asses are just so stupid. Sorry.
