About 5-Minute Maid

The girl forgets everything “every five minutes.”
Only “five memories” can be carried forward.
Choose wrong, and you'll never reach the truth!
Weave the fragments together, beyond the endless loop—.

【Story】

“Where am I? Who am I!?”

Rim awoke in a stark, bare room.
She had no memory of who she was.

“Hey, Rim. What’s with the blank stare?”

Standing before her was a man claiming to be her brother, Shiba.
He said she was a maid nicknamed the “Ice Queen,” but she still had no recollection.

Before she could process his words, a fierce dizziness overwhelmed her.

“Huh? Where am I? Am I Rim?”

Same room.
Same man.
Same conversation.

Something was clearly wrong.

Rim realized she was trapped in an inexplicable loop.
A strange loop where she could carry over only “five” accumulated memories.

The closer she got to the truth, the more dangerous the situation became.
Could she escape this closed room?
What on earth is happening in the outside “world”?

Sift through countless memories, overcome doubt and unease, and guide Rim to the “true ending.”
Beyond the struggle, a rewarding conclusion awaits.

【Game Progression】
Memory Management Mystery Adventure

This is a deduction adventure game where you advance the story through short loops.

・Up to 5 memories can be carried over per loop
・Gather memories by repeating conversations within each loop
・Immediately after a loop, the story changes based on which memories you set
・Acquire new memories through each conversation, then use them to further advance the story.
・Rely on the “information” within memories and the “hint screen” to find the correct combination.

When you select the correct memories, previously unseen inconsistencies and truths gradually come to light.

【Estimated Clear Time】

A reasonably charming, compact game with a really neat premise that it doesn't fully follow through on. "Escape the 5-minute time loop through puzzling out the right combination of memories" is a compelling pitch for a game, and it certainly sold me on picking this up. The opening presents an appropriately mysterious situation which does a good job of putting the player in the same disoriented and confused position as the protagonist. I was immediately eager to unravel the mysteries of the loop. But the more I got into the game, the more I felt like it didn't live up to the initial promise. The central game mechanic of picking a limited selection of memories feels mostly like busywork. It's just picking the right key to unlock each conversation topic or examination point; there's nothing dynamic about the system. Either the right combination is obvious or you can quickly brute force it through trial and error. Each loop lasting exactly 3 actions means you're often either cycling back with the same memory set to pick up what ran out of time for or ending the loop early because you can only do 1 action with your current memories. There was no sense of satisfaction on figuring somet…
