creating a character just to give her trauma and make her suffer has always been one of the most perfect things that can exist in fiction. the music design of the game was incredible as well but it could have benefited from a ui of any sort. overall i enjoyed my time asking questions on the beach.

I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys exploring how philosophy and psychology bend how your view of the world looks. This game is a short, but impactful visual novel that can easily be 100% completed in under 30 minutes. However, even with its short length, it's dialogue is, above all, thought-provoking. I found myself pausing while I was playing just trying to contemplate the bounds of everything it was describing: Each line built on the continued sharpness I felt in the environment, creating a familiar but empty situation that fixated on repetition and how it impacts the viewer. I found this game to be similar to Milk inside (and outside) a Bag of Milk, Yume Nikki (The original, not Dream Diary as much), & a game I played recently called Bygone Snow. On the literary side, I saw a connection between Goodnight Punpun (Haven't read yet but planning to in the near future) and Harlan Ellison's "I Have No Mouth, but I Must Scream." I won't spoil anymore, but I definitely recommend this game; it will stick with you if you let it.
