The Hollow Lighthouse

This game is largely a chore simulator of a horror game since it literally makes you run around the island like an insane person just to find fuses with an EMF reader. To make things worse there are no paths or roads on the island its just vast grass fields, fields, and mini mountains so this game will get dull very quickly and I guess you have to find fuel cans afterwards based on the other review which makes things 100x worse. The game did have good voice acting tho and it does give you a map but there isn't a dot for example of where exactly you are https://youtu.be/OzRYX3PadUk

Hard to follow and not really deadly or scary

Very clearly a labor of love. I look forward to the next project from Dimlight Works, hopefully it can spook me like this did!

Honestly I wasn't expecting much. This game definitely delivers. The island was eerie and lonely. Finding the fuses for the lighthouse was the most difficult part of the game, but did get you exploring the island. Having the option to get the gun in the game actually made it pretty fun fighting off the monsters. This game was awesome. Kudos to the Developer.

Came in expecting a simple horror game, but this game really pulled me in. The atmosphere is super tense (quiet, eerie, and isolated). The island feels alive in a very wrong way, and the lighthouse quickly stops feeling like just a job. Not many jump scares, but the sense of dread is constant. The story unfolds slowly, and it sticks with you. Definitely worth it if you like slow-burn horror with a strong mood.
