Can't really say I recommend this, it's like a walking sim decided it wanted to mask itself as a soulless horror game. I love horror games, they don't have to be fast paced, I like a good build up; but this game felt slow and unscary. Scariest moment was the very first jumpscare, everything that followed was just 'eh' Also I gotta say it *felt* like AI had a hand in this game given how lifeless it feels, could be wrong though.1 found this helpful

The Lightkeeper is a short game with great atmosphere and a few decent scares. The AI voice acting which I heavily disapprove of and probably would have driven me away from purchasing this game had I known about it like a year ago when I grabbed it was pretty terrible and took me out of the game every time it appeared, which is disappointing because the cutscenes otherwise are great. There is a good amount of artifacting going on throughout and the English here is noticeably bad. Overall this game is imperfect, but if you can get past the 7 or 8 AI voice lines and want a good one hour horror experience with a middle of the road, somewhat interesting narrative, it's worth picking up on sale.
It's a good game, but I don't like that they used AI in it for the voices. AI doesn't create creativity. It only makes people lazy. My review is is a thumb at the midway point for this game.
The graphics and dark atmosphere are definitely the highlights of this game. The world has a unique visual style, and the gloomy environments create a really interesting mood throughout the experience. The story and gameplay didn't quite reach the same level for me, but I still enjoyed the atmosphere and the overall visual presentation. Definitely a game with a lot of potential and a memorable aesthetic.
