GREAT survivor game. Keeps getting better as you go...5 found this helpful
Very cute play on a survivor game, Incredible amount of depth from generative combinations. Would definitely recommend.4 found this helpful
Ever wanted a game where anything you could imagine could pop out of a wishing well? A roguelike with TRUE Rogueishness? A survivors like that doesn't get dull? This is it, it uses a small but focused AI that generate new weapons from recipes, and some wild combinations can come about. This game is the future of bullet heavens, and to top it all off, if that wasn't enough. The Developer is ACTIVE and balances issues as they see them. If we are going to see AI in games, this is what I want to see, hyper focused, hyper efficient generation models creating NEW and RELEVANT content. This is the Holodeck in a bullet heaven. Alchemy Survivors takes the familiar survivor-style roguelite formula and injects it with a creative crafting system that gives the game a unique identity among its peers. Developed by Andrew Brown and Andrew Noel and published by Chroma Golem, the game places players in the role of an alchemist fighting through relentless waves of enemies while gathering materials and discovering new ways to grow stronger. Rather than relying solely on traditional level-up choices, the game centers much of its progression around experimentation, encouraging players to create weapons, equipment, and upgrades through alchemical crafting. The most interesting aspect of Alchemy Survivors is its dedication to player-driven discovery. Every run offers opportunities to collect resources and combine them into new creations, making experimentation a key part of the gameplay loop. This approach gives the game a sense of unpredictability that keeps sessions engaging. Instead of following a fixed path toward the same overpowered build each time, players are encouraged to test different combinations and see what surprising results emerge. The crafting system adds an extra layer of strategy because success dep…3 found this helpful
I wanted to put in my initial thoughts on this game, I have been waiting to see where its heading as I know the developers are working on the game and adding new stuff to it all the time. This game has become my new obsession. I know the AI involvement might put many people off but I love how they have used it. It's a survivor like, bullet heaven game, where you can craft weapons, armour and items to help you slay the horde. its has well over 50 characters to unlock and plenty of levels to get into. It can be challenging at first but there's plenty of progression and they recently added a level that seems to be a test for MOBA style mechanics in the game. I am enjoying it, the challenge mode is ace though some are ridiculous. Definitely give it a whirl and see what you think, see if you can beat my scores!2 found this helpful
Amazing game stymied by poor performance. Would love to recommend but in its current iteration i find that I'm playing a slide show by the time I reach the boss on any level.
