Slight changes in scenery after a boss is defeated, for example burnt trees and discolouration in the grass. peace out gang 🫡

The Good: It costs less than 2$, so it's probably cheaper than a McDonald's nuggets (depending on taxes and Big Mac index wherever you are). It's cheaper than most games in the genre which are in early success. The Bad: It feels about as much fun as a McDonald's nuggets, at the moment at least. I don't remember any real bugs, but the entire vibe feels extremely EA/ game-jam-like and a bit clunky. To be fair it has decent abilities, enemies, meta progression et al, but it definitely needs some iteration and polish: 1. The game needs window settings/ windowed mode (right now "settings" is only volume). The pixel graphics can seem a bit too large and in-your face even on small monitors. But hey some folks might like it. 2. The arena (I could see only 1, but I honestly didn't play for long) feels way too cluttered. The style is 2D sprites but with an angled rather than top-down camera view, and the world is stuffed with trees, buildings et al, which irritatingly limit visibility and are a pain to navigate around. I don't know if that's supposed to be the metagame, but trying to get your character to sorta blindly move around isn't fun (for me at least) in a VS-like game. 3. Th…

Video: https://youtu.be/OBRVUdgt1gw I've played more games in this genre than most people I know. Granted, I don't know many people.. But still, it's been a lot. Anyway, this is just an okay title. It does exactly what you'd expect for a game like this. You're a wizard, you use magic, you kill hundreds if not thousands of enemies, upgrade, and repeat. It does a decent job at doing all of this. But that's kind of where it stops. The game just does okay. There's nothing about it that makes it stand out against the hundreds of similar titles, and after an hour of play I don't imagine I'll find myself sinking any more time into it. It lacks the lasting appeal I've come to expect from this genre. If you like the genre I'm sure you'll be able to enjoy this title. But if you weren't already a fan I doubt it'll convince you otherwise. I picked this up on sale at the $3 price and thought I paid $4, but whatever. I personally feel like this would have been more like a $2 purchase at best, but your money is your money. Do what feels right for you.
