Doomies (Damikira)

A boring and repetitive game where you spawn in fairly small rooms that you can't leave and then slaughter the same enemies over and over until you clear a mission like "kill 5 special enemies" or "kill 80 enemies," and then you move to the next random room. There isn't much variety and on you'll second run you'll see most of the same rooms again. It feels much like a free flash game you could have played on NewGrounds decades ago, though maybe with more enemy sprites than computers could handle at the time. (In fact, there are earlier versions of this game on NewGrounds.) My second run nearly identical to my first run and it doesn't take long to feel like you have seen everything the game has to offer. There could also be optimization issues? My gaming rig can play much more demanding 3D games, but this one can give slowdown. I have a still new $350 Ryzen CPU with an AMD 9070 XT GPU, and yet sometimes it dips below 60 FPS on a 4K monitor and when the game goes into slow motion, though I am not sure if the slowdown is an intentional decision or not. Honestly, quite a fun game. However, I want to say that DOOMIES: Bloody Fur is in my opinion a bit more fun. thats all, great game! 9.5/10
