Not utterly terrible but pretty poor. Kinda like Doom, but without the good design. Worse graphics in 2026 than in 1993. More boring enemies, guns, and levels. Just play Doom. Oh you really want some random weapons? Most of them are garbage. You end up just using your best one. But the skill tree and meta-progression? Have fun playing bad Mario minigames to unlock every upgrade. Ah, but surely as the word 'roguelike' has been thrown about we can expect some white-knuckle difficulty? Nope it's so easy it's boring. I died deliberately just to see if anything would change about the game. I kept expecting there to be something intelligent or surprising behind it all, but no. The price is ludicrous. Get Doom, there are better free Doom mods than this.

Great shooting, fun movement once you get a few abilities, but it's a bit let down by the procedural level generation. I'd probably like it a bit more if it wasn't a roguelite. One thing I'd like to highlight is a clever way the game stops you from just using one weapon - you can be offered a big chunk of gold for you most used tool of mass murder. Overall I had a great time, the shooting itself is so fun that I spent a fair bit of time in the arena mode.

I go into every game hoping to enjoy it, because why not right? There's a lot here that looks generally appealing, typical boomer shooter affair, retro-style graphics, cheesy metal music and references, over-the-top violence, rogue-lite elements, tons of weapons, etc... None of it comes together correctly. Really, one of the biggest issues is that the level design just sucks, it's so uninteresting to actually navigate through these levels. I'm not even sure if they're all procedurally generated or if they're just really, really boring. The weapons are like, fun enough to use, but plenty of games are way more fun with a smaller roster of weapons where each one feels really good to use and fits a specific role. The whole 2-weapons system is just garbage, Call of Duty stuff. Boomer shooters should really always work off of a larger roster of immediately available weapons. The enemies are totally forgettable and not fun to fight. So much is happening on screen that I couldn't even tell when I was taking damage. The art style is boring. And maybe the worst, in order to get past certain doors you will have to kill all enemies on the level, and I was not able to get through literal…

the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that comes with the orbs spawning in the levels can be complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. i got that face floating around hurting me and i could'nt even see where i need to destroy the orb because the vision gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. also it is possible for a level not being beatable sometimes as i had a lever just not being in the level to open the last door. i like how weapons can get randomized but it can also doom a run and while the minigames were funny at first, gets way too repetitive later on but you gotta do them because otherwise your stats/ammo will gonna suffer
