I hate so much that I'm marking this as "not recommended" because it's such an important message and the art is beautiful. But I don't recommend it as a game because it's not--it's a PSA you can play. There's a beautifully sad storyline but you have approximately three moves and no control over direction--you keep going no matter what, which is irksome when it comes to the second half of rescuing creatures because if you pass right over them, welp, too bad. The mechanics are fine, just repetitive, and there's a ton of on-the-job learning (I died several times before I realized why--oh, that's a lake of fire, not just pieces of it, good to know). In the second half with Lavender, if you hit a book icon it will stop you *in the middle of a swing* to give you information and again, it's important information but I'm trying not to drown in a waterfall thanks. I recommend the message wholeheartedly, and I'm so glad the team behind this is trying to get it out. But I can't recommend it as a game, which is so sad. Please keep going, team!3 found this helpful
A beautiful game.
This game is AMAZING and EPIK and AWESOME. It has been my fav game for years and i first played it on my ipad. the visuals are amazing, and the gameplay is super fun. this game actually made gibbons my favourite animal and made me wanna become a primatologist and specialize in gibbons. gibbons are sadly endangered tho and this game shows the hardships they go through. it also has a very fun daily challanges thing with leader boards which is super fun. this game always makes meso happy. If you love animals and nature, i recommend this game.
This is doo doo my guy. The swinging mechanics are doo doo, there is a part where you have to replicate the swinging pattern of another monkey except you can't cause the game interrupts you halfway thru each swing giving you feedback like what the hell. Generic art style and a story about a monkey swinging? Like what is this. Only picked it up cause I was looking for games that took less than 2 hours to complete but this is terrible.
short boring and not fun. this is a walking simulator disguised as a tarzan simulator. it is not fun. you hold one button and get lectured by a worse version of the movie RIO's plot
