Played for two hours, realised after 10 minutes that there is no jeopardy, you can't fall, there are obstacles that make no sense (i.e. a climber would be able to jump over a rock in a hallway, or climb through a massive hole in some iron bars) and the climbing mechanics themselves are either very boring, or extremely specific. I really tried to like this game but it's not for me. Also, who is reading all the letters? And why? A game with potential squandered.

A great little game. Fantastic visuals and sense of progression with always being able to see how far you’ve climbed. The OST is filled with bangers, and the overall sound design is very strong. The game is simple, but its short runtime ensures it never overstays its welcome, remaining effective and engaging, and achieving fantastic flow. Reading the lore notes, and following Bianca’s life as chronicled through them, is enjoyable. Easy recommendation independent of how much you like rock climbing as a sport. I’ve no interest in it, but game still remains fun and engaging. I highly recommend it to anyone that likes short and artistic experiences.

A very short, low budget, indie grade game about climbing. I like climbing in games like most recent Tomb Raider or Uncharted, but apparently it is not very easy to build an entire game around these sole gameplay mechanics. And Dontnod were obviously short of ideas. You just climb up through several different bioms, occasionally interacting with scenery to open further path. But those interactions are so repetitive, that you just yawn after some point. When the game begins to be somewhat engaging, it just ends short after. Controls are so-so. I like the mechanics of hands' movements, but jumps are not very predictable. Sometimes it is hard to grab a boulder despite it is being just near your. And the camera can be frustrating at times (probably, the only challenge of the game). Story is nonexistent: it is unclear with whom we play, how did he end up in a desert, how did he find a little creature that is supposed to live in the skies, what is he planning to do after his mission ends. World building is done through (of course) notes, that might have added a lot of sense to the adventure if not being totally unrelated to our main quest. The performance on Deck is abysmal: 30 FPS w…
