Metal: Hellsinger VR

Great game. True to the original. I have always loved rhythm games. Used to play a lot of rock band and guitar hero back in the day. Dashing, gliding, shooting and reloading to the base beat is exhilarating! Highly recommend.

The game slaps. Graphics are beautiful, metal is sick, it's basically if doom had a baby with beat saber. It's genuinely fun to play. To be fair the beat part is fairly simplistic and I would have liked to have a more visceral experience getting in demons faces and hacking them up a bit. It def feels like a port but enough was done right that it does not mess up the core experience. Giving it a bad rating just because the port isn't perfect is tough, people are so hard on VR To anyone who said there isn't such and such setting, well, there is. Their are books in the main starting area with every setting you could imagine - recticle color, turn speed, vignettes all that.

Works on Reverb G2. The game is still extremely fun, despite VR port being half-assed and quite ugly. Solid gameplay and banging soundtrack make you pay less attention to poorly adapted UI.

Honestly, I'd say this is a must-play for VR. Really. It's a simple DOOM clone with an excellent rythm mechanic, and music that also affects level animations. It doesn't take too long to finish, so it doesn't drag or overstay it's welcome. And there is additional content in form of challanges and perks afterwards, if you'd want some more of it. Pros: - One of the best, most intense final boss fights in my entire gaming career. - Music plays a major part in the map animations, damage, score, etc. - Very OK variety. Not too much, but due to the short nature of the game they don't get old. Cons: - You must do a gesture while reloading. It's not very accurate most of the time. - Explosion animations are horrible. An odd thing, seeing how the game really looks OK otherwise. - [spoiler]Bosses at the end of every level look practically identical. Play practically identical too.[/spoiler] - Can't skip pre-level cutscenes, and they like to reset mid view if you interact too much. - Weapons loadout is limited, and not super polished. I recommend this, I really do. It's a short treat. Like a slice of cake. Wouldn't eat the whole thing, that would be too much. But as a slice…

Not as good as the original game, the UI feels clunky and the whole thing feels inconsistent.
