This is a great game if it works, however it doesn't seem to be compatible with quest 3 controllers. I can't even move in-game.3 found this helpful
If you're looking for a high quality older PCVR title, this is a good fine, and definitely when it's on sale. Yeah there's a lot of complaints about the controlls, but there's an easy fix. If you follow the instructions on this community link, it will help you fix the controlls for Quest 3. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2736094459 It was easy to do, and after that, the controlls were nearly perfect. Also, if you're computer can handle it, go into the advanced settings and switch everything to high or ultra. it makes a huge difference. Definitely a cool game. This game absoulutely sucks, 1st reason is because you have to physically turn in real life, 2nd reason is because you are not the main character (aka. Doom slayer) in all the other doom games and 3rd reason is because the story just doesn't make sense like who is Abraham Peters? I love doom games but this one is just the worst out of them all, i want to enjoy this game with everyone else but i physically cant. Yours biggest problem when playing is gonna be to turn around in real life, really nobody likes turning around in real life because if theres a wall in front of you, oof. Not worth the 18$ I know i only played for 57 minutes but those 57 minutes was torture. Bethesda and id please fix the turning especially.
I had to restart the game on my first try because I missed a core mechanic on tutorial, because the instruction was automatically advanced too fast. On second try there were artefacts and then the audio stopped working. On third try everything worked fine for a few minutes, but then the artefacts came back, so I restarted my computer. In fourth try there was no audio and not a single button on my controllers worked - only the tracking worked. After that I gave up. Maybe I'll try again in the future.
possibly the most clunky game i've ever played. the controls are some of the most unintuitive i've ever used. also no turning 😭
Great graphics and scary the demons are coming from everywhere.
