Mining Merchant

I thought this would be similar to the first game, which was all about the mining part and exploring the underground. Its what made the original game this is inspired by, Motherlode, so interesting and fun to play. A simple gameplay loop with a relatively simple goal and just mining around. For NO reason at all this game just immediately throws that out the window, and adds a stupid useless shop minigame, making like 70% of the game about crafting some useless jewelery and selling it at a shop. If i wanted a shop management game i would have bought a shop management game. I bought a game about mining, and especially after the context of the first game, mining mechs, i believed that trend would continue. Heavily disappointed, cannot recommend this game; especially since the whole shop thing isnt even well done or interesting and just feels like another "run a business" slop game

Boring slop

I am a huge fan of Delayed Victory, and think he did a great job with the game. But as an experienced Super Mining Mech player (having over 150+ achievements over both games) I am fairly disappointed, and did decide to refund. Firstly the game does a lot of things right: Mining is fun, Crafting is fun, Earthquake as a reset mechanic is cool and fits with mining mech lore, contracts and paying for dirt storage is sweet, upgrade systems work well, and am happy with them. Things that are kind of meh, 1. Store sim is a bit boring, I dont think its the developers fault, I cant think of a better way it could have been done, but its the part I look forward to the least. 2. Conversation with the mech lady is a bit forced and annoying, but other convo's are okay. 3. Companion seems a bit tacked on, it really provides minimal stat boost, and its not actually explained that scrapper will meet you at your next job site, leaving you to look around the store area for him. nice grindy game, plays well on steamdeck. great to play while listening to something

such a fun relaxing game.
