Deck of Haunts

Just in time for spoopy season, I got Deck of Haunts on sale. I'm a big fan of deckbuilder roguelite games, so I was eager to give this a go. With money being so tight, I was nervous. Thankfully, this game has a free demo, so after trying it out, I instantly fell in love and grabbed the full version right away! You play as a sentient haunted house. Your goal is to lure in people so you can kill them or drive them insane so you can take their essence and grow. With a bevy of rooms, abilities, and monsters, will you be successful in becoming an absolute terror? As stated before, this is a deckbuilding roguelite. You start with a simple deck of cards, and your job is to dispose of the trespassers who enter our house. You have to stop them before they reach your heart or else you take damage and it's game over. You have two ways to do this. You can attack their health and kill them. Or you can drain their sanity and make them go insane. Each trespasser has different traits and abilities, making it fun to handle them in different ways. You gain more essence by driving them insane, but killing them can be quicker and also scare other survivors into escaping. The choice is yours. After…

Phenomenal. This game came out of nowhere for me. I was completely drawn in from the beginning. A deck-builder house of horrors was the perfect find for spooky season, too. Took a bit to understand the game, but that was only because the tutorial was disabled initially. The art, the music, the inventive strategy required to defeat the intruders, the upgrade system. It is all wonderful. Thanks Mantis team, great job.

I'm only just getting stuck into this, and I can already tell it's going to be legendary. Are you a tabletop player? Do you love Betrayal at House on the Hill, Mansions of Madness, Last Friday, or Camp Grizzly? Are you a Y2K kid? Did you love Ghost Master? Did you salivate at seeing Ghost Master Resurrected, but feel a little let down? Are you hungrily awaiting Ghost Keeper? Are you even older? Did you cut your teeth in the Golden Age of Bullfrog software? Spend countless hours obsessing over the design of your Lair in Dungeon Keeper or DK2? I am all of these, and this game feels like it was created to be directly injected into my blood. Or even better, grafted onto my brainstem without anesthesia. If you are one or all of these as well, you are going to love this game.

Wow,pure WOW. The game is absolute masterpiece from atmosphere to the mind tricks about better way to build your mantion. 16 hours in 2 days? Thats me,the best experience I've had in a long time She introduces you to the mechanics very smoothly and gradually ramps up the difficulty as you progress, without being exhausting. 10/10, especially with the discount, so buying the supporter pack was a total no-brainer. W to the devs, I REALLY HOPE they keep supporting it. Azrael is one love
