About The Guardian of Nature

«The Guardian of Nature» is a wholesome puzzle adventure game about the interconnectedness of nature, created in a wonderful hand-drawn and hand-animation style. You play as Henry, a Guardian of Nature who needs to go on a magical journey to save nature and The Tree of Life.✨ Change size to explore nature large and small. ✨ Explore environments above and below ground. ✨ Find and use inventory items. ✨ Find out how nature is interconnected and fill up the Book of Nature with discoveries you make along the way. ✨ Solve nature-inspired and solarpunk puzzles and learn about the intricate inventions of the Guardians. ✨ A wonderful blend of wholesome experience and a modern twist on point-and-click adventures. Cozy gamers and old-school adventure gamers will feel right at home!

A key feature of the game is that Henry can change in size to access game environments large and small, above and below ground. This allows you not only to wonder through forests and gardens but access ant hills or even fly on birds.

The game and story consist of three episodes, told in a linear order. Each act consists of different game environments. To continue your journey, you must explore how these environments are connected and solve various puzzles.

In order to continue your journey towards the Tree of Life, you need to find and use inventory items. They are stored in you backpack and are crucial for connecting the dots.

The story of «The Guardian of Nature» is told through a wonderful fairytale-inpired narration, filling the Book of Nature step-by-step. Throughout the game you will regularly find and collect “Nature Cards” which reveal new pages in the book. They tell you more about the ancient wisdom of the Guardians of Nature, the interconnectedness of nature and give you hints on how to continue your journey.

The Guardians of Nature have learnt how to use the magical energy flow of mycelial networks underground - which are vital for all trees, plants and living beings - and have built solarpunk devices. You need to solve solarpunk puzzles to use the magical power of nature.

The game is so pretty! While playing, I really felt like I was wandering through a cozy forest, surrounded by cute little animals. The whole world feels peaceful, warm, and magical. I especially enjoyed walking around and taking in the scenery. Even when I wasn’t doing anything particularly exciting, I still loved being in this world because it felt so cozy and relaxing. The music also fits the atmosphere perfectly. It has a gentle, magical quality that makes exploring the forest even more enjoyable. One of the features I liked most is Henry’s ability to change size. I really love this idea because it makes the world feel much bigger and gives you the feeling that there are hidden things to discover from different perspectives. Being able to shrink down and explore places that would normally be inaccessible is such a fitting idea for a game centered around nature. It also ties nicely into the exploration, as you often need to revisit areas you have already explored after finding a new item or unlocking something that allows you to access places you couldn’t reach before. I found myself going back and forth between different areas to figure out what I was missing, but the map was v…

A short and cute point and click adventure without much difficulty. Would be nice to see some more puzzle variety, as they repeat the same one multiple times, but with the game as short at it is, it wasn't a big deal. The art is pretty and makes what you need to do next pretty obvious. It didn't particularly grab me in any way, but neither did it offend any. A decent way to spend two hours.

Very cute game and has a great message. The art is pretty to look at, music is fun. I do think some times it was not as clear where you were supposed to go, but it's not that bad to figure out. Had a blast playing it :)

Looks beautiful but I'm not really a point and click fan, so found it very confusing. Looks like a treat for fans of the genre though.

A fun and short puzzle game of a little guy caring for the forest.

I had this game on my wishlist mostly for the art style, but I really enjoyed it. Some nice puzzles and my favourite walking animation in any game! Played on the steamdeck and was hooked enough to finish it in a couple of visits - very enjoyable and worth the money imo.
