About Signal Scavenger

About This Game

Signal Scavenger is a tactical third-person extraction shooter set in a fog-covered, post-apocalyptic world where humanity no longer exists—only remnants of a controlling organization and the prisoners it sends to die.You are one of them.Deployed into hostile regions filled with mutated threats and unstable signal zones, your mission is simple: clear, disable, survive, and extract. Every successful operation brings you closer to freedom. Every failure resets your progress.

A WORLD WITHOUT MERCY

The surface is consumed by dense fog, broken infrastructure, and unknown signals spreading across abandoned zones. These signals must be located and disabled before they trigger catastrophic consequences. You are not sent to survive.
You are sent because you are expendable.

CORE GAMEPLAY LOOP

  • Equip your unlocked gear and choose your loadout
  • Deploy into a contaminated region
  • Explore, scan, and complete randomized objectives
  • Manage limited time before forced extraction
  • Escape with what you’ve earned… or lose everything
Each run is a high-risk, high-reward operation.

MISSION OBJECTIVES

Every deployment is different, with randomized tasks such as:
  • Clearing hostile-infested zones
  • Disabling signal sources
  • Restoring power systems
  • Eliminating high-threat targets
  • Retrieving critical, limited-time assets
Time is always against you. Stay too long, and you won’t make it out.

PLAY YOUR WAY — STEALTH OR CHAOS

Approach each mission how you want:
  • Stealth: Avoid detection, move carefully, and outmaneuver enemies
  • Loud: Engage directly with weapons and force
But be warned:
  • Mutants react to sound and movement
  • Detection systems can trigger large-scale enemy alerts
Once things go loud… survival becomes much harder.

PROGRESSION & UPGRADES

Survive and extract to improve your chances:
  • Upgrade gear for efficiency and survivability
  • Optimize loadouts for different mission types
  • Become faster, deadlier, and more tactical with each run
Failure means losing progress—adapt or repeat.

INVENTORY & LOOT

  • Slot-based inventory system with limited capacity
  • Make real-time decisions on what to carry and what to leave behind
  • Extract with valuable resources to fuel your progression
Every slot matters.

UNIQUE MECHANICS

  • Scan & Clear System – Locate hidden threats before they find you
  • Dynamic Signal Zones – Core objective that shapes each run
  • Randomized Missions – No two deployments are the same
  • Hidden Dangers – Not all threats are visible

ROGUELIKE EXTRACTION DESIGN

  • Each run is a fresh attempt
  • Death resets your current progress
  • Adapt your strategy with every deployment

ATMOSPHERE

  • Fog-heavy environments
  • Tactical, slow-paced survival gameplay
  • Ambient horror sound design
  • Constant tension between exploration and escape

FEATURES

  • Third-person tactical shooter gameplay
  • Stealth and loud combat approaches
  • Randomized missions and replayability
  • Extraction-based progression system
  • Gear upgrades and loadout customization
  • Slot-based inventory management
  • Casual difficulty option for accessibility ( WIP )

Absolute indie jank... To begin with, optimization is 100% non-existent. I was getting around 30-35 fps in 4k resolution with an RTX 4080 and that's with the main graphic setting on LOW. There's not much at all in the graphic settings except for low to high. The graphics are also not very good. You also cannot remap the controls nor manually save. And you must exit back to the main menu while playing if you want to change any of the very few settings. Gameplay also looks and feels incredibly janky with zombies clipping through terrain and doors, the camera spinning to where you can see behind objects and buildings where you should not be able to, strange flickering around light poles, and getting stuck on the terrain and not being able to pass in between buildings. The jump animation is also highly ridiculous with your character abruptly bunny hopping. Camera movement is also not smooth, the inventory is beyond plain looking and boring, shooting guns is highly inaccurate and feels weak, and you also cannot pause the game and can get killed trying to do so. Overall, this is a mess of a game in my opinion and needs a ton of work. Hopefully, the developer can address all the issues an…

A great first game from the studio! it's fun, smooth, and you can clearly see the passion and effort behind it. I'm looking forward to seeing how it improves with future updates. best of luck to the developers!

I see a huge potential in this game. great start for a new studio and first game. few things that i have comments on is that there's no clear objective menu or clear instruction. another thing is the movement and the jumping is laggy. interacting with the generators and any button is kind of laggy also. i know i'm being picky here for an early access game but i also approached it with high expectation even for an early access game. looking forward to see more from this game and also from this studio. good luck

Desktop mouse compatibility only so far, shame. How did this game make it this far to not be compatible with controller. Should advise the consumer.
