Malignant Survivors 2

If you like theory crafting, min/maxing, and "second monitor" content, this game is for you. You can play it one handed or depending on your build, no handed. Movement is with either WASD or clicking/holding LMB to move. Skills auto use on a timer, so it's pretty simple and straight forward. The gear progression scales dramatically between difficulties. So you'll start off with gear in the power range of 10-50 and later on be dealing with gear in the tens of millions. Each character comes with a couple pre-determined skills, but offers slots for gear which will often times have skills on them, each carrying their own levels and stats. Lots of numbers, loot, monsters, and hard lessons. I haven't experienced any crashes, but I have encountered hangs when the map is full of enemies and the game is trying to spawn even more mobs. For less than $5, I'm not finding anything to complain about.

Having casting skills tied to items is an interesting idea, i would have liked this to be on a different layer but still it really turns the whole thing into a proper item hunting game and crafting system is big +++ and fun. i also think the game doesn't explain itself very well at the beginning but despite all of that, its a surprisingly deep game for its price

Didn't expect to get this hooked tbh. The loot system is really fun and there's always that "one more run" feeling when you start getting decent drops. The game is great and I'm having a blast with it. Still needs some polishing here and there, especially the FPS optimization, which honestly needs some work. Other than that, the core game is solid and really fun.

[h1]Old Tricks, Better Looks, Pure Enjoyment[/h1] If you are coming into Malignant Survivors 2 expecting a ground-breaking evolution of the genre, you might want to adjust your expectations. Truth be told, the game doesn't reinvite the wheel or do anything strictly unique that hasn't been done elsewhere before. It brings back that familiar mechanic—which, if I recall correctly, was also present in the original game—where completing a run restricts you to choosing only 3 items to take back with you. Outside of that signature limitation, it plays closely to the standard horde-survival / ARPG roguelite playbook. What it [i]does[/i] do, however, is deliver pure, unadulterated fun. Visually, it is a clear step up. The upgraded 3D graphics and environment models give the horde combat a much punchier, modern feel compared to many top-down survivors. Slicing through massive waves of enemies looks sharp and satisfying. I've noticed a fair amount of user reviews pointing out performance issues and technical hiccups.
