"Survivors of the Plague" is an unabashed, lazy ripoff of Vampire Survivor (Copyright Poncle, 2021). Many lazy "amateur" developers don't pay attention to their obligations under copyright law, and often steal the ideas of actual, real game developers without credit, such as the "developer" here has done. At this stage no legal action has been taken by Poncle against the "developer" here, but it's never off the table, as previous copyright law cases have shown. The only thing that's different here is the godawful Portuguese translation, the "plague doctor" skin, and that it's considerably worse than Vampire Survivor in all other respects. Putting aside the unethical intellectual bankruptcy of stealing someone else's game concept for profit, this is also breaking that unwritten law of stealing other people's game ideas... you should at least try to do better than the game you're ripping off. "Survivors of the Plague" is considerably worse than Vampire Survivor. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. Survivors of the plague is a good game. It has permanent upgrades, interesting weapons and evolution's and many characters to unlock. This game has a higher learning curve and you have to stick with it to progress, you cant just pick a combination of weapons and zoom through the levels. It runs great on the deck too, never heats up. Another positive is that it is not in early access and it is only $3.99, I got it on sale for $1.19. I have paid much much more for a whole lot less. True survivor style enthusiasts will like this one! Hope this helps.
