Duo Quest

A friend wanted me to play this with them and the game did not disappoint. A few minor bugs with online co-op, but nothing game breaking. Simple hero quest story line, with adorable pixel art and fun character designs. Gameplay is typical things you'd expect from rouge-like deck builders. As advertised, with the twist that upon damaging the enemy enough you enter the other half of the game. "How well do you really know this person?" This section is honestly the most fun. Q&A is light hearted with a dash of silliness. Only gripe is the answer list never changes, but they give enough upgrade materials that getting through an area should only take a couple of tries. Then you get new categories of questions in new areas. So all in all, not too bad.

Played this game with the wife and was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was. Loved the questions and loved how it made us laugh. I will say though the controls take a bit of time to get used to. My wife isn't too used to using a keyboard, so would recommend for the developers to add in mouse support. We just beat the stage 1 tonight and we're going to attempt stage 2 tomorrow!

Love the game! Reminds me of old times for 2d games. Questions can be discussed tho. Its a fun game that blends roguelike elements, co-op, deck building, and nostalgia. Had fun with my wife playing this side by side. Decisions can sometime take longer than expected because we will discuss it first. 10/10!

Never had something that was designed to bring us closer together and further apart in a single nerdy card game couples discovery bonanza. Does need some polish, navigating UI with mouse & my keyboard is a little bizare when changing settings. Devs gonna easy fix that but overall great idea

While my review is negative, I'm hopeful this game will turn out great from user feedback. The devs seem active on trying to meet demands in the steam discussions page. I do feel rather hopeful in the near future. I'm leaving a positive in hopes we see these changes. This review is for the current build only. For the current build as of this time's review it's simply too difficult to play as there's a timer in the know a bond breaker. The dev responded to add a QoL update to toggle it. The cards are also unbalanced. The Event spaces are all random trivia we both agreed to google it. It's not clever quizzes either. The ones we got were "Which ones would beyonce collab"? like what how is that relevant? It should've been common knowledge that way it rewards the players. A lot of questions feels really obtuse and it's not something I'd ever ask my partner.
