Pages of Zite

This game has some Jank, the road building menu sometimes only closes when pressing escape not when pressing the key a second time, occasionally buildings do not stack or stack extra (who knows why it gives 3 levels to one copy of the building and only 1 level to the other), and gold is never properly explained to you. I think its a passive buff but the score counter after each round does not make this clear. This game does not have native controller support but with the steam built in feature it works fine, made a community layout for all the other couch gamers. The worst feeling a roguelite can give you is the feeling that you lost not because of your mistakes but just because. My last played hand I got 22 Blite (previously at zero) from one pull from the card pile. It only takes 15 Blite to lose and Blite is not an easy thing to remove. This was an over hour long run ended in what felt like an unfair and unfun moment for me. For $5 you are getting your value, but do not expect this game to be a mainstay you return to.
