About Tyler: Model 005

Tyler: Model 005 is a 3D action-platformer and exploration game set in the 1950s where you customize and control a spunky miniature robot named Tyler. Many years after powering down, Tyler is accidentally powered on during the height of a thunderstorm. Now you must discover why your creator is missing and what has happened to your home, which is overrun with rats, spiders and more.

Because you are a minuscule robot, normal items take on a completely new dimension in Tyler’s world: for example, chairs, stairs and bookshelves are giant obstacles. It’s your job to navigate through your surroundings and find out as much as you can, collecting objects and solving puzzles along the way.

Wear a huge assortment of diverse outfits, from medieval helmets to pixelated eyeglasses, and battle varied enemies with your trusty bolt-blade, boxing gloves, cherry bombs and more! Discover all that Tyler is capable of as his adventures begin in Tyler: Model 005!

I honestly expected very little going in, but I ended up having a really fun time. It's a bit janky, and sometimes the platforming can be a bit tricky, but I had a blast. The story is interesting, had quite a bit of trouble following it, but I enjoyed it for what it was. I was actually quite impressed with the amount of collectable customisation items, and had a very fun time hunting them all down. The atmosphere and visual design of the game is actually quite good, and I always found myself looking forward too seeing what the next room would look like. Definitely a game I personally had a very fun time with, and something I would recommend others check out.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…

The game felt promising and I was actually excited to try this game out. I played it for a while but the clunky controls turned me off. What seems like the simplest platforming challenge turns into few hours of going back and foward and kills the overall fun.

Controls are broken. You can't attack with controller so I used Steam Input to change the trigger to mouse click so I could attack but then that somehow breaks the A button so you can no longer climb. Sure I could mess with Steam Input more to correct this game's mistakes and get it to work but nah, it's already offended me lol

Tyler: Model 005 is one of those games that immediately stands out because of its premise rather than its mechanics. Developed by Reversed Interactive and published by Maximum Games, it tells the story of a small household robot that awakens decades after being left dormant in an old home. With his creator nowhere to be found, Tyler sets out to uncover what happened while navigating a world that has become enormous from his miniature perspective. The game leans heavily into a sense of curiosity and nostalgia, presenting a journey that feels equal parts children's adventure tale and mystery set within the forgotten corners of a family residence. The title makes excellent use of its scale. Everyday objects become massive landmarks, turning kitchen counters into towering obstacles and forgotten storage spaces into sprawling environments. This concept gives the game a distinct identity, as players spend much of their time exploring oversized rooms filled with hidden pathways, collectibles, and environmental details that reveal fragments of the house's history. The setting itself carries a retro aesthetic inspired by mid-20th-century design, helping establish an atmosphere that is both…
