This is the free demo of Retro Machina that includes two locations of the game for you to explore.
Only one city remains on the planet, and it’s only robots who inhabit it now. Protected by a glass dome, Endeavor rises above the once lively area and worker robots are trying their best to keep it going. In order to maintain it, every robot has to do its job perfectly and any imperfections found are being discarded.
Thrown to a junkyard for a malfunction, a single robot worker is on a quest to get itself fixed. But the city sees this loyal worker as a threat now, so all the robots and defenses that protect Endeavor have turned against their former colleague. With the unique ability to control various machines of the city, including any robots that are in the way, this little Robot is on a mission to fix himself and find intelligent life.
Yet it seems that there is no intelligent life left. Only the robots programmed to keep the city nice and clean for people who are nowhere to be found.

The game definitely has good music, decent graphics, and a nice atmosphere. But the developer made a number of mistakes, which make the game feel unfinished. The default controls aren’t very comfortable. As soon as I realized how my hands were supposed to be positioned on the keyboard (too close together), I wanted to change them. In the end, it turned out that using the mouse works best, but the mouse buttons aren’t available as an option. Games with this camera angle always have very difficult, clunky battles, where even basic enemies make you feel stressed and frustrated. It would be better to do away with these kinds of battles—or eliminate battles altogether. It’s also unclear how far your attacks reach, or at what point an enemy deals damage and from what distance.1 found this helpful
I liked this demo a lot, especially the atmosphere it created via the level design and art direction. Idk how to describe it but the way everything was drawn, put in place, it genuinely provided the atmosphere of an abandoned factory. My only small complain is that I felt puzzles n combat could've been shown off better(especially puzzles since I assume they'll play bigger role then combat in full game) so I was more confident in its quality in the full game. Althought I did find it funny how the demo ends right after you finally get upgrade station even though I think it should've appeared earlier xD1 found this helpful
I like it! I've only played on Lenovo Legion Go S for a short time. Slightly glitchy between 'levels' and crashed a couple times. A strange thing happened to my Lenovo as it went to color bars and froze. Picks up where you left off if it does crash. I'm sure it's fixable. This is a great handheld game. Good job.
