I really enjoyed my playthrough of this game. It was a short experience, about 2 hours for me, and I felt it was really well paced. The way the story and puzzles were put together was really nice, and I thought the time-loop was a great way to make the game feel less 'linear', which is something puzzle games can struggle with sometimes. I felt a ton of Persona inspiration in this one (which is a good thing). I really enjoyed the characters and the voice acting. There were unfortunately some audio mixing issues, and some of the characters' voices sounded like they were recorded with echo or equipment issues, but I was able to get past this, and really enjoyed all the performances given. Clara, Edith, and Walter were particularly likeable characters with great voice acting in my opinion (this is not to knock the other characters at all, these 3 had a lot of screen time which helps). The story was nice, the UI felt good, artstyle was beatiful, everything ran smooth. Especially for a free game, I really really enjoyed my time, and recommend for anyone who's into story-driven linear games, as well as simple escape room puzzles1 found this helpful
This game looks like a project from a group of Game Development students. But they did a well job, just the playtesting is a little rough.1 found this helpful
I need to say up front, the music is a real stand-out success in this game. I got lost listening to the intro for 5 minutes before actually hitting New Game! In gameplay, the music was a great vibe and/or scene-support. As a student game this has one of the best stories I've encountered from this type of project. The timeloop mechanic is well structured and works well to keep the pace of the game moving by shortcutting elements (as you would hope) but then also (as you would expect) incorporates elements that meaningfully break the loop at the relevant moments to gradually reach the final objective. I enjoyed that there was voice acting, which is often missing in student projects, but as others have said, many lines don't work and the dialogue progression is slow and sometimes finicky, taking multiple clicks to progress. Entering through doors was a little too much of a time-sink that unfortunately interrupted what was otherwise a good flow. I encountered one other bug that was annoying for a moment, where a keypad displayed over my inventory so I couldn't read the clue I needed and struggled to close the keypad, but it cleared after a few attempts at different things. Played as long as I could, but never got to finish it either because of game error or user error; I couldn't exit the engine room or interact with anything after receiving a second necklace. Tried reloading an earlier save with the same result. Could just be me or my computer as it seems other reviewers didn't have this problem. Oh, well. It was free. Other than that, the puzzles are decent, neither too easy or too hard. With a little hand waving, you can follow the plot which is somewhat engaging. The script needs an editor, but it was generally fine. Definitely made by students, (as others mentioned, the 3D characters could use more work, and the continue button isn't responsive enough) but not bad apart from the lack of an ending.
The game is ok, it's not bad but not great either. The plot and gameplay star of very interesting, but as the game goes by they get kinda repetitive or boring. However, at the end of the game you get good conclusion to the story that in my opinion makes the game worth it's time.
Nice little puzzle game. Makes you think don't try to find walkthroughs. Figure it out for yourself. I have not completed but have solved enough of the puzzles to appreciate the effort the developers have put into the game.
