About A Hundred Years of Love and Death
A 2D RPG with an intergenerational respawn mechanic, where whenever you die you continue to play as one of your children or siblings.Explore a world containing a city with 5 different families, a forest, and a dungeon.Seduce women by dodging undertale-like bullet patterns. Make sure to not confuse the women with the traps.Stealthily sneak past her parents at night in her house to get to her room and create a child.Level up the genetic stats of your characters over multiple generations. Women with higher stats are usually harder to date, because other admirers get in the way.Let your characters heroically die in battle, fighting goblins in the forest, to rescue women with particularly high stats. If you are superstitious, you can sacrifice your first-born son to Baal, although it's unclear whether that does anything.Find and seduce the mermaid to unlock a dungeon filled with dangerous monsters. Conquer the dungeon to beat the game.

In a world of MS Paint, a mermaid who loves NTR renders your X chromosome inert. And now you voyage to a land beyond the colors of time, where Godot renders everything in 8-bit and you and your descendants spend their days hitting on chicks and breaking into their homes so you can become the king of deadbeat dads. All in a vain attempt to ask said mermaid nicely to let your progeny not be the prototypical ugly bastard trope in hentai. It's an interesting idea executed rather poorly because everyone and their uncle sprints like a cheetah compared to your muppet-looking turtle ass and the main mechanic is essentially Dollar General Deltarune combat. And while this is one of the rare instances of a Godot game which does not scream at me for having a Nvidia GPU, it's still more hideous than my 4/10-lookin' ass. Speaking of, 4/10. Again, it's an interesting idea and one I kind of want to take a swing at. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, not everything has to have Best Value Undertale gameplay mechanics. I'm as sick of that as I am people calling twin stick shooters and metroidvanias roguelikes. At least the dev didn't do that, as permadeath isn't exclusive to the genre. You just breed endless minions to kill one houses parents and then get green eyes. And then you do that again for like 20 minutes. And they you get seen by Karthok and instantly die. I played this game for 2.8 hours and would rather be tortured repeatedly for two days instead of boot it up again.
"A Hundred Years of Love and Death" is a truly, painfully badly made game where the developer was apparently obsessed with the "your kids take over if you die" mechanic, but there's no realism here where the kids more likely put you in a retirement home and never call you again. It's a weird (and failed) attempt to make a mashup of Deltarune, dating sims, and cringey e-book fanfiction RPG writing where the focus is less on doing good old honest RPG monster bashing and is more about getting laid. At least the developer has a vivid imagination. All of this is implemented awfully... I have a very low opinion of RPG Maker asset flips, they're some of the worst garbage on Steam, and this makes your average RPG Maker asset flip look like Baldur's Gate 3. The amateur pixelcrap visual presentation here at best could have been an attempt to use "retro" as a crutch, a weak excuse to avoid admitting the developer wasn't capable of doing the job of a game developer this decade and creating cutting edge, high quality 3D visuals. While a lack of skill or funding is the explanation for this failure, it's no excuse. The end result of this incompetence is a game that looks dramatically inferi…
