- Encounter more than a dozen romanceable mortals, including elves, dwarves, satyrs, demons, and other fantasy creatures along your many journeys.

Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 622: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (7/10) William Lowman's A Kiss from Death is one of the more interesting works published by Hosted Games. I'm truly not quite sure how to feel, even after doing three playthroughs and getting the "true" ending. It's a bit—okay, really—out there, experimental in both prose and story. It frequently breaks the genre's recommended conventions: it is blatantly nihilistic, has no happy endings, features a complex (almost unlikable) wide cast, a shorter playthrough, and some questionable writing quirks. But I see what Lowman is trying to do. His juxtaposition of immortality and mortality is masterful and thought-provoking. I'm just not sure if, ya know, I actually like it. This is the first review I made that has more Mixed notes than Pros or Cons. Still, A Kiss from Death is unique and pushes the boundaries of what interactive fiction is or can be, prompting me to give it a thumbs up. I was given a free copy by the staff! Thank you!
Pros:
✅ Sex scenes. First off, I can't believe Hosted Games allowed such explicit content—good for them! While the s…8 found this helpful
Existential nihilism…
mainly read on my phone Feels more like a short philosophy themed railway rpg to me at first, but it doesn’t actually end when you complete your first run.
This is a game that requires multiple playthroughs
Many stories here are randomized and some need a specific stat/event to trigger. There's a lot you can discover during replays
even a little bit meta
and many achievements involve a 2nd run. And I think some content only shows up in a new run after the true ending(maybe I was wrong I never read the code) So, you will miss a LOT if you only do one or two runs(This also applies to the author's other book, The Gray Painter.) To actually end the game:
You need to break the cycle: kill the god of time and restart and find him again(stat doesn’t matter the 2nd time)
Finally!!! The real ending!!! Finally!!! I get to see the rating page!!!!!!!!
…And sex
Till now, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ a demon, a cthulhu, a dragon (in multiple ways,YEAAAS), half dragon, elf, half-elf, mermaid, halfing, prince, vampire, spider queen, krampus, lich, had an orgy, different threesomes, foursome... all in gre…4 found this helpful

i thought it was other boring short game, however when i drive into the story for more, i found out that this game is actually one of the best game i had ever played. The point of story is never on story, its on the discussion of life and death. This game is truly well-make on this topic, love it! (also the steamy stuff with dragon is kinda shocking1 found this helpful
Spent 2 hours only to realize that my review was an unfocused mess, but that's what this game does to you. Not for the faint of heart or those unwilling to partake in taking a face full of grass whilst getting rammed in the ass. Frankly, I don't recommend it.
