Played for about 1.5 hours and ran into the same thing others have said in the reviews. You end up spending so much time putting people into the woodshed, to just take them out, put them back in, take them out, put them back in. The whole vibe is great, I love the setting and how they make it feel cozy, but you spend so much time managing your workers it's not even worth thinking about decorating it nicely, or doing anything else. You just spam comfort items to raise comfort, you spam storage things to raise storage, you keep putting people in and out of the woodshed to make more wood to build these things, you throw people in the kitchen here and there to keep meals up. It's just micromanaging so many things they need to completely rework how workers are assigned and do their jobs, or it's just annoying.25 found this helpful
I really like the concept of the game and setting out the hiking paths, but currently, it seems too frustrating. It feels like an Early-Access game, which I have no problem with, but it should be communicated. I'll see whether it is fun to pick up again in a year or so. Daily management of tasks seems fussy - like other reviews note, there is no task queue for some more infrequent tasks, but also no automation of tasks at all. The workers get tired and you have to manually release them from their task to rest and bring them back again. The reputation and upgrading system is fun and motivating, but even when on the easiest setting, it is difficult to keep up with. You regularly have to manually replace all beds/couches/wardrobes and manually haul up loads and loads of wood to meet up with quality demands. If you don't, guests straight-up leave your place because of 'bad' conditions while they were just fine a minute ago (why not just lower the reputation gain a little). Regular, planned orders of wood and food and upgrade buttons in build mode on furniture would make this process much less tedious. In terms of esthetics, guests also frequently get stuck between furniture that s…2 found this helpful
Nice enough sim. Would have been nice with some more design options and some of the character dialouge was a bit off (translation?). But overall a nice game.1 found this helpful
Such a fun game! As a hiker, I greatly enjoyed the winter mountains atmosphere and the process of rebuiding and decorating the shelter. It reminded me of many such places where I stayed - that special type of cozy that can only be found in hiking refuges and huts. Another fun feature is trail building. It takes some planning and creativity to create the network of trails and maximize the travellers satisfaction and safety. Story was simple, but engaging. And you can pet the dog! Some things I wished were improved upon: Eva needs her own story arc. All side characters have their own stories, Francis and Nikolas have interesting development along the main plot, but Eva got nothing. C'mon, we need to know what's up with her and hot pilot guy :) The game would benefit from more challenges and more difficulty options. I finished the story campaign with all stats maxed and not a single alpinist death, and while it was fun experience - it wasn't particulary hard.
A cool relaxing Management game. With a bit of story thrown in to keep things interesting. I really enjoy playing this game when I want something to keep me occupied wile I relax and unwind at the end of the day. It is fun to play, not overly challenging, and has just enough depth to be interesting without being to complex.
alot to keep busy and occupied
