Welcome to Snowscapes, a cozy nature simulation game. Control the simulation, play cards to influence the world and have fun in this little frozen ecosystem. Watch it all happening from above or step into any animal to see it all up close.
Nature simulation meets card game!
It is up to you, if you will start a chaos or try to maintain a balance. You get a new set of cards every now and then to keep your options open - you can spawn multiple animals into your ecosystem or you can place them one by one. You can help them have babies and you can make them live longer. Animals can be spawned for free, special effects cost tokens which you earn by maintaining balance, raising babies and having animals live long enough to die from old age.

i had really hoped this game would be good but its really not. super buggy the "simulation" is just animals walking around completely randomly and occasionally accidentally getting food or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. there is 0 challenge i played every single card i got as soon as i got it and had more or less the same results as when i had played it seriously. the camera angle when spectating an animal is abysmal. the only good things are the graphics and the sound design. the music is passable.1 found this helpful
Tried the game. Graphics are above average. Colors seem to fit well. Animals are designed nicely. The ability to "take over" an animal and to hear it's thoughts is could give the game more depth but is not used. The card system spawns randomly and sometimes it does not help keeping the balance. Some cards like the breeding item does more harm than help. There is no real purpose than to breed, die, and let the animals search and fight each other. If the game mechanic would change, it would be more of an casual game, than it is now. The card system introduces a way to influence the breeding, make certain group, predator or pray more , to keep the balance. Which is difficult to do. And at the end if you keep playing, you will go against a bug in the game, there are just too many animals, and balance is out of control. From that moment animals keep increasing till the computer will hang. If the game focus upon one animal and try to survive as long as possible in this, I think that would give the game purpose. Cards to influence somehow what your chosen animal does. Then have some high score. That would give the game a casual purpose and goal. So, in my opinion, either go all i…
The game does not load my progress. Also dead animals do not leave corpses for carnivores, herbivores reproduce too slowly and it is unclear how to unlock new animals.

Good for a short while, not for a long while. Needs better optimization after a certain number of animals populate, especially if everyone keeps reproducing as fast as your mom.
