✦ AI summary
Players appreciate the game's jump scares and creepy atmosphere, with some finding it effectively startling and atmospheric. However, the experience is hampered by poor guidance on core mechanics like camera usage, excessively dark visuals that obscure gameplay, a weak story, and the use of AI-generated assets, leaving many feeling confused and frustrated despite appreciating the game's artistic intent.
This game has the best story! Im waiting for a movie on this one!1 found this helpful
For a first horror game that was an unbelievable effort. Played through all of this Devs games and he is elite when it comes to story and setting. Again there was beautiful symmetry between the beginning and the ending just like in Mitnal. Very clever writing, which is mega rare in indie horror games. Again some madlad jump scenes. With one that happens where it comes up to the side and it lingers there, that I have never seen done before and it was very effective. All 4 of this devs games are top notch indie horror. Get them all.1 found this helpful
I don’t usually leave negative reviews and as an artist I genuinely appreciate games as a form of art and creativity. Unfortunately this game was just frustrating to play. It gives you a camera without clearly explaining what you’re supposed to photograph or when you should use your limited shots. The game is also extremely dark and when you hold the camera it’s even harder to see anything. I ended up wandering around confused because the game provides very little guidance beyond vaguely suggesting that the camera might reveal or unlock something. I really wanted to enjoy it. but the lack of direction and frustrating mechanics made the experience more annoying than fun1 found this helpful
This game was sooo much fun!! I did my first playthrough and chat loved it!! The story was good, the jump scares were terrifying and the game overall scared the sh!t out of me XD So much fun!! Highly recommended! I will be playing through again for second ending and plan to play the rest of Mixo's games!!
This is the type of indie p. horror game that got me hooked in the first place. But now im jaded. Familiar house, but the 2nd half was unique to me. I appreciate any game like this that has a story and this one was interesting. Honestly the only thing that took me out of the game was the voice acting for the mother... the voice was just too young sounding. Until the credits indicated it was a separate person I was thinking that the same voice for Ethan was used, just in a falsetto.
Great atmosphere, tons of jump scares. Game is around a hour but worth it just keep looking around and you'll find your way! I'll be looking at more of his games.
