Brings back lots of memories on my old Vic-20!11 found this helpful
I played the original Adventureland alongs with many other Scott Adams's Interactive Fiction games back in the late 70s and loved them. As soon as I heard I could play Adventureland again with my kids and grandkids I purchased it right away on Steam. It brought back so many good memories for me and the new version is even better now using the Conversational parsing engine!8 found this helpful
I've always been a big fan of the text-adventure, so when I heard that Scott Adams was back, this game went straight onto my wish list. I played the original game, back in the 1980's, so was keen to see what an XL version would be like. As this game is early access, it's not finished, apparently missing some background images, sounds, etc, but don't let that put you off. The game is great fun, challenging, but not to the point of frustration. If you're a fan of the genre, or are looking for something a little different, you could do much worse than Adventureland XL. Now, back to that Ox.7 found this helpful
Found out about this game last night and bought it right away. I loved playing Scott Adams game on my VIC-20 as a kid. Would love to see more titles added, Pirate's Cove, Voodoo Castle etc!6 found this helpful
