This game has been abandoned! Steam WILL NOT refund!8 found this helpful
The game has been abandoned... One of my favourite games at the time, but with no other updates, it's just broken and left.2 found this helpful
its an ok game but it would seem like the developer just left this game to the abandon section they posted skill tree was coming but no skill tree, theres no setting for brightness and if u dont have night vision then good luck w seeing at night. Also u can only craft a few things and when i say few i mean a few also if u flip a atv ull have to find another theres hardly any loot when u kill zombies or search items however i guess the good things are it runs well on steam deck, the items dont break after use, other than that luckly i got it when it was on sale but for 9 bucks i would have put in for a refund but i should have the reviews and everything and seen when the last update was too bad they gave up on it so my rating is 3 out of 10 or 2.5 out of 5 stars dont waste your money cause they obviously gave up on this1 found this helpful

Afterinfection is an ambitious indie survival game that attempts to capture the scale and tension of large-map zombie sandboxes while being developed and published by a very small team under the name RePatrick21. Set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the infected, the game immediately establishes a harsh survival fantasy where players are dropped into a sprawling island with minimal resources and must rely on scavenging, crafting, and careful decision-making to stay alive. Its scope is clearly inspired by genre heavyweights, but its execution reflects both the passion and the limitations of a solo or small-team indie project. The core gameplay loop is built around classic survival mechanics. Players begin with almost nothing and are encouraged to explore towns, roads, military zones, and remote areas in search of food, water, weapons, and crafting materials. Hunger and thirst systems constantly pressure the player to keep moving, while inventory management forces tough choices about what to carry and what to leave behind. Exploration feels purposeful, as every structure might contain vital supplies or dangerous encounters, and the sense of vulnerability during early hours is …
nice to play respawn is a little fast for enemies but still good
