AliveInVR is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, AliveInVR is a software application that allows you to control Ableton Live using a giant 3D interface in VR. You trigger clips, play instruments, and mix using a 3D controller. This won't work unless you buy Ableton Live itself, and that'll cost you at least $100... so don't consider this free. While making music may indeed be an enjoyable pastime, it is not a game. Nobody goes to a Hanson concert and says "wow, those guys are really great video game players, that was a great game they just played." Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by …1 found this helpful

Controls don't seem to work on virtual desktop. Unless I'm mistaken and this is an experience that requires more space than I have. Would be nice to be able to walk using the stick. I'm using virtual desktop.
