About Angels of Death Episode.Eddie

"The boy made up his mind to face a cruel world."

The new special edition "Episode.Eddie" which is included in the first volume of Blu-ray & DVD of the anime “Angels of Death" is now available on Steam.
The past of B4 floor master Eddie is revealed…!
Eddie was born into a cemetery clan as the third son.
He loved his family's work more than anyone else and worked hard every day to make graves, even though he could not take over the family business.
However, behind the scenes, Eddie has a secret: abuse from his eldest son.
Unbeknownst to his family, the violence only grew more intense by the day.
Then one day, he meets a mysterious girl in a graveyard.
Eddie is attracted to a lovely girl with strange eyes and goes to see her every night.
Eventually, however, as the days turn to hell, Eddie realizes that he's not the only one.
She was also like him, in that her body's wounds were increasing by the day.....

This work is listed as a bonus of the anime "Angels of Death" Blu-ray/DVD, which is now on sale.
This time, thanks to the kindness of everyone involved, it is a stand-alone release.
If you are interested in the anime in this work, please consider purchasing the Blu-ray/DVD as well.
*We have long requested refraining from live-streaming gameplay of this title, but as of April 30, 2024, it is now permitted.

Angels of Death Episode.Eddie is a very good and sad psychological horror, adventure game and a pretty good prequel/spin-off to the first Angels of Death game, but now let's talk about the story. Eddie Mason who became the boss of the third floor thanks to the Reverend his job was to kill and make graves for all who visited his floor, but how did he become this way and why, this is a story of how a young, caring and empathetic kid becomes this crazed killer. Okay then the likes, the story is really good getting to see one of the killers backstories is an interesting idea and it's very well written too, I like the themes of neglect, mental illness and the warning of not just ignoring the problem and sticking to old traditions when clearly it was one of the main problems. I also like how real it feels, seeing a sweet and very empathetic kid like Eddie turn into the monster he later on becomes in the first game is both fascinating and heartbreaking. The characters are good and well written I really do like Eddie and the friendship with the girl, the creators really took this character who in the first game was a little creepy and definitely disturbed and gave him a really well thou…

very short game, but i enjoyed it. i remember being a young teen and reading a fan translation before it got an english release and came to steam... the translation in the real thing is a little awkward at times but easy enough to understand. just like the original game, this one is very edgy - even moreso. if you're sensitive to child abuse and animal abuse, be warned - there is A LOT of it. it doesn't have many of the puzzle aspects that the original angels of death did, it's more like a walkable visual novel. lots of sections where eddie will move on his own, not many things to interact with. it does its job as a prequel and a means to tell eddie's story. if you liked the original AOD, you'll enjoy this. the story is much simpler and the character motivations are easier to parse than in the original, and for an RPGMaker game, i was actually pretty blown away by the overworld sprites. as always, makoto sanada's art style is adorable and effective for the games she creates!!
