Yes, you can disable the timer
Now that your greatest concern have been assuaged, let's talk about this Persona flavored roguelike deckbuilder.
GEMinal!
- Keeping it stylish with vibrant mangaka-like art and a slick soundtrack. - Leverages its gem gimmick well. Tons of interesting interactions with cards, skills, events and enemies. - Plenty of replay thanks to Extra modes & higher difficulties. - Developer highly engaged in the community pages.
ConGEMned!
- Lots of untogglable strobing and flashing effects. - Some skill and character mechanics might take a few reads to grok (Upgrading a skill increases the number of casts per trigger. Hold onto that factoid. It'll save you some bewilderment later). - Needs a difficulty between Normal and Hard. - Doesn't really get dancing until Mission 4.
Recommend To:
- Persona fans who enjoy the palace puzzles. - SMT fans upset that I referenced Persona instead of its inferior step cousin. - Adventurous fans of roguelike deckbuilders who are willing to give a game time to breathe. - I was just kidding SMT fans. I just wanted your engagement. Please put down the mall katana. - Lets play streamers looking t…

Quite unique, fast-paced (if you use the default timer rule) deck builder. You build deck of attacks that you activate by matching random gems, while listening to cool anime jazz. It's simple, but when managing to build a synergistic deck and chaining a long string of combo really does feel satisfying.

Pretty underrated roguelike card game. There isn't much there outside of the gameplay itself, but it's a unique spin on the genre and I'm enjoying it much more than I expected. The main four campaigns for each character are sort of just extended tutorials, which I think is a strange choice, because the "extra" campaign mode is when the game really unlocks. You can just blow through them on easy to get there though. If you like the demo, the full game is just more of it. I think that's fine. I have some nitpicks with little things here and there but overall I think it's worth checking out. It's nice to see a new spin of the formula.

ive been so tired of playing "rouge like" games and its just the same rinse and repeat concept but this one has a really fun cast of characters to play with and each of them plays the game in a unique way and makes me wanna replay it for the vibes alone and a great gameplay loop fr has me strapped in enjoying this ride im on

It's a different take on the genre although I feel like the vibe is more "rythm game" and it most definitely isn't that, the assets are uniquely designed but the space they're in is just limited movement or one run cycle and it feels very amateur-ish (easy enough to overlook but it definitely acts as a turn off on rip), some encounters seem to require specific setups to win (not fun in a deckbuilder), and how it all works is explained but not fully so theres some growing pains...the card pool also seems pretty limited and the game seems to love throwing the right skill but the wrong gems requiring two visits to correct. Just weird points of tension. Harder than it seems at times in a pretty frustrating way since you can't exactly pivot much in this game to make changes to how your deck works. Totally fine pick up on sale just to see what it uniquely has to offer, theres a seed of something in here that with some polish come out really interesting if given the chance and support.

After about 20 hours of playing... there's so much missing that the devs missed. Its a roguelike in the sense that you pick how many predetermined cards you get at the start of the game as well as the predetermined final boss. I have no clue how or why, but the graphics of this game, that are mainly 2D, tax my CPU to the point my computer starts to overheat like a horny furry. The gameplay loop is ...ok. If you don't have a dedicated build by the second floor you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥; which is an interesting yet annoying way of stopping people from going through only shops and skill level ups. Long story short, you're better off throwing the $15 price tag at a stripper for the same amount of care that was put into this game, and achievement hunting is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare of repetition
