"Anthony" is a suspenseful and atmospheric indie game developed as part of a team project by students at the SBS Academy Game School. Set in 19th-century England, the story follows the protagonist, Anthony, who is kidnapped and trapped in a house, where he must escape before he is sacrificed as a ritual offering. The game is all about navigating tense situations, solving puzzles, and managing the constant threat of being caught by the antagonistic NPCs. From the start, the atmosphere sets the tone: the gloomy rain-soaked backdrop, eerie sounds of thunder, and the oppressive feeling of being watched contribute to the game's suspense. You’re tasked with exploring rooms, collecting map pieces, and using items like a hairpin-turned-lockpick to solve puzzles and unlock doors. The game’s design makes you feel the weight of time, as failure to hide or solve puzzles results in a game over, ramping up the tension with each failed attempt.
