Aonar is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, Aonar is a software application that displays a short VR animated movie. Basically you could save yourself downloading anything and just watch this kind of thing on Youtube VR, but apparently the animators got really confused and thought they were making a video game. Presumably someone told them to shut up when they kept asking what the game loop was going to be and how to track gamer progression. Anyway this movie is about Scotland, but most importantly it's not a game. Nobody went and watched [i]Morbius[/i] at the cinema and walked out and said, “Wow, what a great video game I just played!” They also never said, “Wow, what a great movie that was!” But that’s besides the point. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any …

Lovely short story game that you can sit down and relax to but still feel immersed in. Played on oculus linked through steam, had issues to start with but restarting the Oculus headset seemed to fix it .

does not work with quest 3 controllers. there may be a way to make it work but i tried the mapping it said to use and it didnt work. so im not spending anymore time on vr junk that does not work... far too much of it on steam. i left it running awhile so i could write this review. it never worked.

It launches but I couldn't start the game. No point and press trigger, no touch the start button, no headset tracking and look at start... the only thing I noticed was a hand out of reach below me that I could not use to press start.

Works fine on meta oculus quest 2. You stand within some particular moments of the unfolding story. Nothing seemed to be interactive aside from start menu. At some point the sound volume remained the same but the narrator voice became too quiet to be listenable. But looks pretty good.
