I do wish there was an achievement for collecting every bike for replay value, but for what it is, Aran's Bike Trip is a good experience

it's like sitting on a friend's couch while they tell you about a fun little weekend adventure they had <3

made me kinda wish I was dutch and also really glad that I'm not. jokes aside, this game is both good and bad. good because I liked the slice of life aspect of it, getting to know a little bit of Aran and dutch landscape. but that's pretty much it. I've come to expect more of Sokpop, and this game just did not deliver as much as I expected. the interactions could be better signalized, you often can't tell if an interaction will lead to commentary or advancing the story in the very linear path, most of it lacking to be interesting on their own. I disliked the way the map is shown and it's not interactable way of being as well. there probably could be some narration, making the sentiments and impressions of Aran better felt by the player. the music becomes repetitive waaay too soon. there are a few more things but should do for a short review. I expected more but it's not bad per se, just subpar. that said, I like this sort of game experimentation, hiking (no experience in biking tho), casual unharmful geography and the like, so it was ok mostly. neutral review type of deal, I guess? don't expect a lot out of it. a bit relaxing, but just a bit. anyway, thanks for sharing the short …
