Caravan Sandwitch is a fantastic little exploration game that keeps the player engaged with both it's main story and it's side stories. The core mechanics are fun enough, but what really makes the game is the sense of discovery as you explore, and the different bits of the world there are to learn about as you navigate the map. Where many games use 'towers' to reveal the map as a bonus, Caravan Sandwitch uses that as a main mechanic, destroying signal blockers to reveal the map is the main driving force of the game. Along the way you get new tools for you and your van to explore more, and of course, discover new friends and lore along the way. Definitely worth playing, especially if you love exploring new worlds.1 found this helpful
good game but has LGBT content
I played this game incessantly until I completed it. Every game design choice leans into the exploration focus: from no fall damage letting people explore fearlessly, to areas of the map needing multiple visits to fully explore based in unlocking new abilities. The art style is engaging, the music is warm and inviting, and the characters are, while somewhat one-dimensional, the type of people you actually want to help. The characters are where another aspect that some folks complain about comes up: this is very much a queer representative game. If you have a problem with that, don't play the game. Gender roles don't seem to exist here in this world, and same sex relationships are treated as just any other relationship. Overall, this is an incredibly enjoyable game, though I don't know if it has much replay value. In exploring to complete the game, most of the world gets discovered, not leaving much need for a second playthrough.
