About Argyle Manor, Book 1: Away From The Sun

Search a 3D haunted mansion, using slide-based point-and-click navigation in the style of old-school adventure games, to find ghosts and spooky concept art

Full of animated works of art, by professional artist Clayton Bryant Young and his daughter, game animator and designer Audrey Bryann Young.
Each piece is animated to rotate, showing first the original flat 2D image, and then revealing an extruded 3D sculptural version on the other side, sometimes with movement and sound.

An original ghost story faerietale about the haunted mansion and its characters, with 9 black & white hand-drawn illustrations by novelist Carlene Bryann Young

Books in the bookshelf share a story universe; they will eventually be able to link to their own 3D storybook world. Read/listen to sneak-peek story summaries, and see preview concept art!

This game was made by a tight-knit family of 4 artists:
Audrey Bryann Young (Animator; 3D Modeler, Illustrator, Concept Artist, Sound & Game Designer), her sister Carlene Bryann Young (Writer; Co-Illustrator, Concept Artist and Game/UI Designer), Clayton Bryant Young (Oil Painter, Large-Scale Art Installation Designer), and Amber Young (Art Director)

[Full disclosure: I know the creators personally but I did not work on the game in any capacity] A fun, innovative way to showcase both an original audiobook and artwork! This game is a short point-and-click horror story inspired by Myst/Riven. You search the haunted Argyle Manor, collecting audio chapters for an original novel by one of the game's creators, while also unlocking teaser synopses for other original novels that are expected to be released in the future. Creepy, well-written, and full of beautiful original art pieces, this game is more of an interactive audiobook than your standard P&C adventure. So get cozy, turn off the lights, and begin wandering the halls of Argyle Manor!2 found this helpful
