About Secret of Harrow Manor
Secret of Harrow Manor was created because I wanted to make a VR game in the survival horror genre that put you up against zombies and monsters in a creepy abandoned mansion setting similar to the games that inspired me so deeply when I was growing up. One where even an individual zombie was to be feared, and you needed to search the area for ammo and keys in order to make it out. Along the way you'll also find many documents to read that will slowly reveal the story of what happened at this mansion and what created the monsters in the first place.
Note to VR users! : The game was built to be played with just ONE tracked controller (because it was designed with mobile in mind) so just pick the left or the right controller. The selections are either done with double tapping or with swiping gestures, no picking things up like in a proper VR pc game here, sorry.

Walk around a spooky house and investigate the disappearance of some kid. Also, there are zombies, but there are also guns and bullets so just shoot the zombies and other bad guys and find keys! https://youtu.be/L4B9-7qJWow4 found this helpful
Secret of Harrow Manor is a low effort asset flip first person shooter/mystery game aimed at VR users, because there's no way anyone would want this game otherwise. Slapping "VR" on a game gives the appearance of merit to an otherwise terrible game. Controls are a sloppy mess, graphics appear nice but this is just because they're asset flipped. Gameplay is very simplistic, wander around a house and collect things and shoot the asset flipped zombies. There's no compelling reason to recommend this to anyone.2 found this helpful

Really really poor.
Controls are horrible, Guns disappear, Not sure what button picks up items, took me a few minutes to start the game in menu, menu buttons work and don't work. swipe inventory alright, but how to activate item, pad up to shoot, whats wrong with trigger. Movement is slow, no run. locomotion is basic, no teleport. I am a horror game lover but cannot recommend this game with the controls, fix the controls and it would be a simple but okay game for horror lovers, looks like you have lots of characters and basics like picking up keys and progressing, maybe a story to follow. One thing only to make this game work, change the controls. there is a lot of buttons on Vive controller, make use of them. trigger to shoot, grip to grab, and menu button for menu, swipe is okay for inventory but use trigger to select. If you get these fixed i will play the game and change my review. Hope you listen
Pros: -Graphics: They are quite good Cons: -World scale is to big. It doesn't make sense to make a game this bigger than human scale. -Pistol control direction makes no sense. The only VR are game I have played it you hold as it is designed the weapon points up. -Pistol fire button should not be the up button on the track pad. -Movement controls need serious work. Do not buy this game in its current state. It is trying way to hard to do its own thing in ways that don't work for the current configuration of VR game play. Get to work devs. Clearly there is a lot to work with and a great foundation of what looks like a great game. But it is very unenjoyable and uncomfortable to play at the moment.
