Augurium Mortis

I really hate to say this, but this game is pretty awful, and yet it'd be so easy to fix. It seems like a perfectly solid twin-stick shooter but it's riddled with design decisions that make no sense. You have to manually reload every time, even when you're empty, which just feels bad and interrupts the game flow every few seconds. Every enemy can one-shot you, and their melee range is weirdly large. The game is absurdly difficult right from the outset, and it doesn't pause or slow down even when showing you tutorial messages, so I ended up dying dozens of times while just trying to learn how to play. I can only assume that it's never been playtested by anyone who didn't work on it, because this is basic stuff that would be picked up by anyone new to the game. I'm not going to refund it, because there's something here and the developer could turn it around if they got some playtesters to give actual feedback (and they listened to it), but I probably should because in its current state it's a pretty miserable experience.
