About DEATHPIT 3000

DEATHPIT 3000 is a top-down co-op bullet-hell shooter where you fight waves of enemies to claim arena championships! Choose a uniquely powerful ability that promotes offensive or defensive play-styles as you battle your way through four distinct Deathpits and slaughter hoards of deadly enemies to earn Spacebux and unlock weapons, equipment and upgrades, all in a humorous dystopian sci-fi universe.

Originally inspired by retro classic Smash TV, and influenced by modern co-op titles such as Left 4 Dead, Alien Swarm, and Dawn of War II: The Last Stand, it’s a punchy experience - great for casual gamers but with enough challenge and tactical depth for hours of replayability.

The game now supports up to FOUR PLAYERS in ONLINE CO-OP. It can also be played SINGLE PLAYER, or with up to FOUR PLAYERS over LOCAL AREA NETWORK, which works even without internet.
  • 1-4 player co-op, online and over local area network
  • 4 championships
  • 4 powerful abilities (shield, teleport, lighting attack and invisibility)
  • 5 voiced playable characters
  • 6 tactically distinct, upgradable weapons
  • Grenades, mines, jetpacks, armour, deployable walls and turrets
  • 13 enemy types, each with unique attacks and weaknesses
  • Complete wiki of humorous sci-fi universe and backstories
  • Steam Achievements & Cloud Save
  • Full Xbox gamepad support and Steam controller configuration, for PC, Mac and Linux

    In development and coming soon:
  • Trading cards (pending Steam authorization)

DEATHPIT 3000 is the debut release by Cyberlamb Studios, a two-man indie developer from Wales, UK.

Sure, it's not the best top-down shooter in existence, variety is a bit lacking, late game tends to devolve into turret spam, and you'll need to bring your own friends for coop as there's nobody online. But it's also a surprisingly polished game that offers a decent challenge, especially if trying to complete the finals solo. I especially liked how much of an impact the upgrades have: how many other games let you triple your max health after the first round, and still remain fairly difficult? Considering it's less than a dollar on sale, hard not to recommend it.

It's not terrible but it lacks something that I can't quite put my finger on. The shop is annoying, there's never time to decide what you want to buy and the upgrades seem limited and weak. I'd have liked a couch co-op mode as well. It's cheap as chips on sale though so I suppose I can't complain that much.

Very fun game, you can even play with friends, the game gets progresively harder as you progress and you also unlock new things to buy, i´d say that it´s more than worth it for the 1 euro that I payed, but keep in mind you wont get many many hours with this game, 5 hours at max, but still I´d recommend it

If I were trapped on a desert island and could only play THIS game for the rest of my natural born life...I still wouldn't want this game. I would rather make sand angels on the burning hot ground. I'd rather raise a nice deadly scorpion farm, or play tag with the snakes. It is sooo LAME it makes me wonder; Why? Effort was put into the IDEAS of this game, but the EXECUTION of those ideas is just terrible. Don't believe me? Rather believe those positive steam reviews? Then go ahead and waste your money and be sad. You shouldn't pay fifty cents for this refuse.
