Beacon Patrol is a cooperative and relaxing tile laying exploration game.You play as captain of the Coast Guard, navigating the coast of the North Sea to secure its beacon buoys, lighthouses and waterways.Work together with your friends and score points by creating the most complete map.Enjoy the full board game experience, including the Ships & Shores expansion, as well as the digitally exclusive Endless Mode.Start at the Coast Guard HQ and build your own coastal map from there.Each turn you place up to three tiles, connecting to your ship‘s current location. Your ship immediately moves onto the newly placed tiles and you can spend tokens for additional movement.
Exchange a tile with another player or hold onto it for the next turn when playing solo.The game ends when all tiles have been played. Explore tiles to score points and receive new tiles to keep on playing beyond the horizon.

I hadn't heard of Beacon Patrol before seeing it in a bundle, but it seemed like my kind of thing so I took a chance on it. I'm very happy with it. The visual style, easy to understand gameplay and compatibility with Steam Deck make it perfect. If you're a fan of strategic tile placement games (e.g. Tsuro, Carcassone, etc), you will likely love this too.3 found this helpful

If you like logic puzzle board games. But I wish there was an AI.
If you are looking for a chill co-op game to play with a friend with low stakes (~30 minutes per game). The gameplay is simple, but deep and will have you thinking about you next turn and talking with you friend about what to do next. A must have if you enjoy strategizing and communicating to solve a problem.
Played for 2-3 games in the exploraation mode. Game is missing a lot of elements to make it great. It's ok. Would I recommend? For $8, why not! Give it a shot. It's a fun weekend addition to your cozy game collection. That said...here are a few things that came up: 1. Add points to each card. Otherwise, how can you know if you are collecting the right number of points? I only learned from losing that lighthouses give more points. 2. Movement tokens are not added when you have a full bank of tokens and cards are discarded. If this is intentional, it should be changed. If one discards the card, they should get their token (or block people from discarding cards before a token can be redeemed then). 3. Need more blank cards. It's really hard to navigate around the board. I only got maybe (5) open water cards which really minimized the ability to move around the map. As someone familiar with puzzle map games like Dorf Romantik and Panorama,. single player mode needs more blank cards since you don't have another player there to help out. I didn't understand the significance of the player indicators (shell, anchor etc.) that you get to pick when you choose your boat and bird u…
