Big Giant Tanghulu: Tanghulu Legend is such a silly little game that I ended up enjoying its charm more than I expected. The whole experience revolves around making giant tanghulu, managing production and trying to turn a small snack shop into a successful business. I liked how the game takes something as simple as a sweet fruit snack and turns it into an absurd incremental management game. The production system is surprisingly involved for such a lightweight game. I have to place ingredients properly, keep the production line moving and deal with waste while trying to satisfy customers. The unlimited refill idea also adds an amusing challenge because I want to keep the customers happy without ruining the quality of what I am producing. Unlocking different fruits and toppings gives the progression something to work toward. I enjoyed experimenting with new combinations because each discovery makes the shop feel a little more developed. The various tanghulu skins also give the collection side of the game some extra personality, especially when I start unlocking stranger and more extravagant designs.
